I had a migraine headache yesterday. I was outside of Flagstaff,AZ and told myself I need to pull over soon. I watched the road signs and there was my sign: "Rest Stop 9 Miles", thank you Lord! I used all three methods of cure that I have known in the past: 1. dark, cool, quite. 2. aspirin 3. A discovery from the Harvard School of Medicine. I awoke this morning feeling somewhat better; however, by this afternoon, it was haunting me again. So I am in Tucumcari, NM rather than Amarillo, TX. I will need to spend a few moments and make sure I can make it to Maxton, NC on time.
Cicadas, those are the load noisy bugs you hear, but some times have difficulty seeing even though they are fairly large. I included a picture just for fun. Anyway, they are back. My ears have not 'buzzed' for a long time; however, they are buzzing load and clear right now. It sounds like cicadas going off in my head. Not like you are right next to them, but as you approach them sound. I do not think this helps my head.
Just outside of Tucumcari are two great signs. The first is a state mileage marker stating the mileage to Amarillo is 114 miles. The second is an ad for the free steak 72 oz steak if you eat it within 3 hours. It says Amarillo is one hour away. The speed limit is 75. This must be some of that new math that I missed.
