Stupid hinnie

"God you are awesome, thank you for protecting my stupid hinnie." Probably not a prayer you will find in a great book of prayers; however, I did not know what else to say at 60 mph while traveling down I-35.  The alarm rang on my phone.  I thought that was strange since it was 3:20 in the afternoon.  But when I looked at the time closely on the phone the AM/PM was wrong.  I had needed to get up at 3:20 in the morning to make from Segovia to Austin.  I had woke up and had gotten dressed, ate breakfast and made it to Austin with 15 minutes to spare.
I will go to bed without the benefit (?) of knowing who is the president.  I am in Fort Stockton,TX and will probably turn on the computer in the morning to find out.  I do not think it will matter who wins, I feel in my heart my faith will be tested more in the next few years than in a long time.
Slow Fade, a song by Casting Crowns, is a great song because it makes me think.  "People never crumble in a day, it's a slow fade." The choices I have made over the years, were they from spiritual enlightenment, or crumbling?  And on this, the eve before the results of the election, is the direction of the country over all a slow fade to crumbling or on the verge of greatness in God?  I may not know the future, but I know who holds it.
